June 19-22 (9:00 am-11:00 am) ages 5+ $130

We’ll focus on our feathered friends, learn what ornithology is, and make an Audubon inspired “colored plate”. We will learn about our native Des Moines backyard birds and make one from paper mâché. We’ll feed chickens, collect eggs, and look at the forms and functions of feathers. We’ll do our own feather collecting, observe and illustrate chickens, talk about our national bird, after all, it’s the week of July 4th, and make a recycled bird feeder.
