This week we’ll celebrate the great state of Iowa! We’ll celebrate our state symbols, our seal, and get science gear out to make geodes. Kids will paint their own pictorial map. We’ll create a state of Iowa sculpture with a paper mâché goldfinch, and state symbols. We’ll look back in time at the prairie, why it’s so important and who our state is named after. We’ll paint some Iowa art and make gold drawings inspired by our capitol dome.
